A temporary lapse of judgement by one of our otherwise responsible Trustees led Michael Back to enter the Maldon Mud Race in support of the Fund. He came in 72nd, which is better than you might think! It was certainly tougher than he was expecting. Please make his efforts worthwhile by supporting him with a donation to the Fund.
Additional funds would be particularly helpful at this time since we have recently committed to our largest ever project, the Doubleday Centre which will be formally opened in October. The express purpose is to bring the patient perspective into the training of medical undergraduates. It is a first for the UK. Based in Manchester, our largest medical school, it will have links to other Universities and will contribute to the national development of medical training.
If we are to continue our influential work we need your support. Donations can be made via Paypal.
The Trustees' decision to convert the finite programme originally proposed into an on-going project was supported by Edwin's father and brother running in the London Marathon. The former accepting a wager to run in a Dinner Jacket and in doing so helped to push the total raised to over 20K. Many thanks to all those who so generously supported that bit of madness.
Dr Lucy Derbridge, Leoni Marks, Louise Montrose and Nicola Vamos/Gibson ran an astonishing relay to Paris.
